TORCA at Vista Ridge Block Party and Car Show
2nd Annual - June 6, 2008 - Erie, Colorado

TORCA was invited to this exclusive 2nd annual event put on for the residents of the Vista Ridge sub-division in Erie, north of Baseline Road, which is also located in Boulder County. Kevin Dudak's Mustang club (Kevin also owns a vette and is a member of TORCA) was also there. We had 5 cars show up from our club. We were all given free coupons for beer and margauritas. Ex-Colorado Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell was there in his Mustang (his son lives in that community). There was a BMX stunt team and well as a band to entertain everyone, rides for the kids and plenty of food offerings from various vendors. The Knappmiller's from TORCA won the 1st place trophy for "Most Likely to Get a Speeding Ticket".

Becky and I saw two clean Datsun 240Z's which brought back memories for us as we had both owned one. This was before we got 'religion' and stopped committing economic adultery. Since we are Americans we only buy American brands of cars and products (engineered and built in America - not just assembled here) whenever possible. That's what contributes to our Social Security and economic prosperity.

After the event the TORCA members went to the Sonic drive-in in Lafayette to get a malt or shake. A 1957 pink T-bird was there that Becky just had to sit in (not much room in those things). It started to get cold so we finished off the evening at Starbucks in Lafayette.
