TORCA November 2006 Mystery Meal
Eaton Country Club - Eaton, CO

For the month of November, the Fleegers and the Lovvorns hosted the Mystery Meal at the Eaton Country Club. This meal was a little different, in that we left in the morning on a bright sunshiny Sunday and ate brunch. There was a great turnout, as we had 19 cars show up. Wally led the caravan through a great tour of the surrounding countryside, passing lakes and century-old farms, while managing to avoid most stop signs and traffic lights. The facility managers did a great job, and reserved a nice area for us all to park in. The group of shiny Corvettes drew quite a crowd of onlookers! The food was very good, with everything from prime rib to custom prepared omelets to rich desserts. As was stated more than once, it was good eatin' in Eaton! We were set up in a west-facing room with beautiful views of the golf course and the mountains. We also took the opportunity to celebrate Carol's birthday, and did our best to honor and embarrass her at the same time. I think Wally is still doing penance for this one!
