NCCC RMR DtRC Autocross
Colorado State Patrol Track
Golden, CO
May 20, 2007
About 18 members showed up for this
dual autocross hosted by Down the Road Corvettes. DtRC always holds the best run Autocross events in the region.
The Colorado State Patrol Track is over a mile in length, so according to the NCCC rules it should be called a
Time Trial. Cones were strategically placed to reduce the maximum speed
to 80 MPH.
Ralph J's Black C6 Z06 was piloted by his friend Todd
O., and scored the FTD of the day. The C6's, because of the longer
track, finally started beating the C5's. Too bad Todd's not a member,
otherwise TORCA would have garnered 22 more points. The C5 Z06 traveling
(trophy) cap (based on which C5 Z06 is fastest), got passed over from
Mike to Ken to Roger and ended with Mike. (We need to do the same for the C6 pilots). Cheryl and Becky established
Fastest Times of Day (FTD) for the Group 1 Women. Ed A. was FTD in
Group 1 in his new C6. Way to go Tourquers and Tourquets!
Note: There was an early announcement that C5/C6 center caps would have now have to be removed. That ruling is currently waived in our region until a formal clarification is presented to the National Championship committee.
